Markets

Markets are a feature of France and take place on different mornings, depending on the town or city. Some you may want to visit are;

  • Le Muy                              Thursday and Sunday morning
  • Callas                                Tuesday and Saturday morning
  • Les Arcs                             Thursday morning
  • Ventimiglia ( Italy )            Friday

Gorges du Verdon

The Gorges du Verdon, also called the Grand Canyon du Verdon, is a spectacular canyon that forms a border between the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and the Var. From Castellane to the village of Rougons, the Verdon river flows clear and swift, and the road follows along the banks.
The Gorges are 50km from Villa Meyria but the drive is scenic, passing through beautiful countryside and lovely villages like Chateaudouble. You can drive to the bright blue waters of the Lac de Sainte Croix which is at the entrance to the Gorges and from here you can rent pedalos, canoes and kayaks.

St. Tropez

After visiting canoeing, pedaloing or kayaking you can embark upon a different type of excursion to the famous St. Tropez.
A tip would be to park in the in the car park at Ste. Maxime and take the boat across the bay to St. Tropez as the road is busy. This means you won't waste time in heavy traffic around the coast (between Ste. Maxime and St. Tropez and you get to enjoy a relaxing boat ride.
